Moldova, one of the world's top-20 wine-exporting countries, is hosting daily events with ITB visitors. Known for its distinct and welcoming brand of authentic and gourmet tourism, Moldova is a perfect place to relax for a moment during the hustle and bustle of the fair. At our stand — Hall 3.1, Stand 625 — you are always our guest. Take a moment to learn more about our special place in the world and enjoy our wine, culture, and authentic adventure through daily events such as wine tastings and a virtual 360 tour.

Moldova is located between Romania and Ukraine along the Danube River and within quick, day-trip distance of the Black Sea. Winemakers and tourism professionals from Moldova will be on hand to share information and insight into the ways potential partners and savvy travelers can get the most out their experiences in this up-and-coming travel destination, with its wine routes, archaeological sites, and UNESCO-protected Biosphere Reserve.

And, with a well-known and soaring reputation in the wine industry, Moldova vintners are always ready to pour glasses of some of their favorite varieties wineries to friends and fellow travelers in attendance at ITB. Join us for wine tastings, take a 360-virtual tour and discover the Martisor tradition with us at 4 p.m. at the stand (Hall 3.1, Stand 625) each day. Keep track of the events and organize your daily schedule with our event page on Facebook or take a look at the full calendar below:

When visiting the stand (Hall 3.1, Stand 625), make sure to inspect the traditional tapestry created to show Moldova’s combination of gourmet traditions and cultural heritage. Part of the 130-meter embroidered canvas, which was created for the ProWein Trade Fair, will be on display. Created by 12 artists to showcase a variety of the region's traditional ornaments, it was inspired by the Moldovan carpets that have been included among UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list. The work took more than 2,500 hours and used more than 50 kilograms of wool, 500 needles, and thousands and thousands of strokes and stitches to highlight Moldova's human talent and craftsmanship in winemaking.
